It appears Sons of the Forest dropped a new patch today. The game is currently inactive for our gaming group, but I’m always happy to hear about updates to games we tend to revisit on a regular basis. The patch message cites: Features, Balances, Improvements, Fixes, and Audio to the list of changes. You can read more about it on Steam’s website at: Patch 08. I still believe the game holds potential in the survival game genre, although in our previous playthrough it was certainly still in earlier game stages. Personally, I do enjoy how, much like Valheim it does have (or at least did) an end game mechanism too it. In truth, it’s been awhile since I have played SotF (March 25th of this year, based on my Steam last played message). I imagine our group will pick it back up again at some point. There have been quite a few changes since even our group played it. Unless I’ve been mislead, my understanding is you can now create a SotF dedicated server, which alone is a huge change since last we delved into the lands of the billionaire’s remote island.
