Another week with a bit of variety of game play, as I’m sure you’ll note below. In some aspects, I think it might have contributed to some of the conflicts of scheduling here and there as well though.
Even still, we all managed to get in time with the group, save for NXUS which had a fairly limited schedule for an ‘off’ weekend in any case.
NXUS spent some time playing High On Life and managed to play it to completion over the weekend! He has completed some games here and there over time, but the way he latched on to that, with the frequent laughter coming from him, certainly made this Hobbit smile!
Qvaid and I had an absolute terrific time in Outward Definitive Edition as noted below under the Highlights! We both really do love that game an incredible amount! As such, both of us are REALLY looking forward to the release of Outward 2 later this year! I’m working on that practice with the controller still!
The Honorable Mentions were still a bit light, in truth, I probably missed some games from the gang here and there. I had an incredible time gaming this weekend! Perhaps too much so! By early Sunday evening, I had to call it. Apparently 7.5 hours of sleep for the majority of the weekend had me fairly exhausted!
On another note, I have to admit, I’m looking forward to the majority of the adventures we have going on with the gang! The Quinfall has really got a hold of me lately, and I’ve certainly been enjoying being back! Schedule I looks to be shaping up quite nicely for NXUS and I, and the Return of Moria adventures have been beyond EPIC for myself! Closest thing to D&D based video gaming since perhaps Baldur’s Gate 3!
Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: On Monday evening, Qvaid and I picked back up on our Outward adventures in Enmerkar Forest. We started working our way through some of the mini dungeons and areas. We had a few interruptions, so our progression was stalled a bit. We ended the evening by clearing our path to the Cabal of Wind Temple in the western part of Enmerkar.
Over all, even with the interruptions it was still a great time! We hope to start the temple dungeon on Tuesday evening when we log back in to explore the vast world of Aurari again!
Qvaid and I certainly encountered some growing pains in our adventures on Tuesday and Wednesday evening!
We managed to clear the Cabal of Wind Temple after a slight set back on our initial start. We headed back to Berg, cleaned our wounds, and got some sweet revenge on those corrupted beasts in our next round!
It was that success that made us perhaps a bit too bold on our next venture. We headed off to fight the Manticores in Emerkar forest! We came close to a victory, but ultimately it was our first complete defeat.
We awoke in the Manticore’s lair, likely food being prepared for its offspring. Qvaid and I actually didn’t even realize where we were when we first came too. I admit we were foolish and forgot to read the flavor text right before loading in.
We destroyed the majority of the things we came in contact with in those tight, damp, dark corridors. That is until we came across another MANTICORE!
We gave it a good run as well, but running around dodging attacks can only grant you so much time and eventually we again were defeated in that musky tomb of a cave.
When we came too, we were at the entrance. It would seem the Deities of Outward seen fit that we should continue our journey for a bit longer.
On Wednesday evening, Qvaid and I prepared a bit better. With a slew of tripwire traps we set out to enact our revenge on the Elite Manticore in Enmerkar Forest and the offspring that defeated us in its very own lair. It was then we remember there were actually TWO manticores in that cave.
We both admit, we got the revenge we were after, and we left the final Manticore to its own devices.
We finished up the evening by clearing the Face of the Ancients in Enmerkar Forest, and heading back to Berg to rest and plan out the next set of adventures we will try to tackle on Thursday evening!
Thursday evening was an absolute set of epic adventures for Qvaid and I! We packed up some of the supplies we had in Berg, sold what we could spare, gathered up some travel rations, and paid the Soroborean merchant for a trip to Harmattan!
It was so great to be back in the Antique Plateau again! Qvaid and I worked out way through several areas and mini dungeons. We came across a quest we had not completed before: “Bloody Business”.
We decided to move our way through that as the night was swiftly coming to a close. We did manage to get two of the four missions accomplished for the quest, but alas, it was time to call it.
We settled into our camp in Harmattan to prep a start for the adventures again next week!

Days played: All week
Players: Aces, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: Per my usual routine I spent most of the week day sessions with either some early morning adventuring before my work day started and/or running caravans in the back ground as I went through my work day.
I’m off to a fairly decent start on my plunge back into the world of The Quinfall! I have my home in Larcbost back, all of my Tier 3 work benches in place, and a mini start on some materials. Nothing grand in the way of the materials mind you, but it is a start.
I also managed to pick up all the pets for my character again. Those will still need a good bit of work to become the legendary helpers they once were, but again, it is a good start.
I did level up a few weapons this time around to see what might stick well for me. My plan, at least initially was to go with the Two Handed Warmmer for game time when Kilen wasn’t on, and Lifestaff main when we could group up.
After toying with the Hammer for a bit, I got curious about the Spear, and delved down that path from there on out. I have several weapons (ie: classes) up to around the 20-21 mark at this point.
It seems maybe Lifestaff players are able to solo at least a bit now with the recent combat over haul? If that is a viable choice, I might actually just stick with that after all. Time will tell though.
I did my best to try not to level too much so Kilen and I can focus on the Primary quest line when we are able to play again. I’m hoping for some decent gaming sessions this weekend, in between gaming with the group in Return to Moria (if that opportunity presents itself), and other shenanigans with NXUS if he is available for gaming.
In a bit of a surprise, even to myself, I may be playing a bit more on the PVP server in The Quinfall. I recently joined a guild with a PVP focus, and I have to admit, from my previous PVP experiences in MMOs, I’m at least a bit curious if it might provide a bit more to an already extensive game!
Aces, Kilen, and I are all now in the clan Veydrin! While it has more of a PVP focus, they have all been a great addition to our adventures in The Quinfall lately.
I admit, the majority of us have not really played in Channel 4 much (The PVP server for America), we are still focused on grinding out those levels, the primary quest, and resources!
I think our plan is to give more PVP a shot once we feel like we can actually contribute a bit more to the over all process.
I did manage to work my way through completion of the Primary Quest over the course of the weekend! I found that some of the camp areas in The Quinfall are indeed a fantastic way to level up your character and your weapon skills.
Not having to solo all the time is also a HUGE plus in my book as well. Granted when Aces and Kilen are on, I’m not soloing per se, but our schedules don’t always line up well outside of the weekend.
On a semi-related note, Aces seems to have taken a bit more kindly to The Quinfall this time around. I’ve seen him play more the past few days over the weekend, then I believe all the previous game time combined!
I’m hopeful he’ll start frequenting the game a bit more as we all might have the opportunity to progress together!

Days played: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Falken, Iron, Kilen, SoSirius, Hobbit
Comments: The work put into Return to Moria has been impressing us at almost every turn. We did spend some time on Friday and Saturday effectively trying to ‘figure out’ what we needed to do to progress the campaign mode we are currently playing. The majority of us roaming around in the depths of the mines looking for hints, clues, or areas we had not been.
At some point we kind of lost track of our objectives, so to speak. We were not sure what needed to be done to move forward and progress our mining hearts to the next part of the story or adventure as it were.
Falken did some research and had the plan curated by Sunday morning. Sometime after lunch on Sunday several of us logged in and we were back on track to moving our company along in the right direction!
Even with the set backs, getting lost in the depths of Moria a few times, and frequent waylays of Orks, I had a fantastic time!
Moria is such a fantastic piece of work, my friends! It was also a real treat to have SoSirius join us on Saturday for a bit of exploration (or getting lost), while we strive to find the next path to our campaign success!

Days played: Sunday
Players: NXUS, Hobbit
Comments: On Sunday morning, NXUS and I woke up early and got in some time on Schedule I before he had to head out with the fam for a trip to the Zoo!
In a bit of irony, most of our workshops were in shambles at time. We were getting ready to move around operations when we left off on our last adventure in building our “Breaking Bad Empire”, and so nothing was really ready to go.
We did manage to take down the Benzies via a method, I won’t disclose to prevent some spoilers in any case. With them out of our path to success, we moved on to getting ready to setup our new operations and move along our path to become Hyland Point’s go to operation.
I believe NXUS played a bit more later in the evening on Sunday, and managed to start filling out some of our workshops with our upgraded equipment and required materials.
Given his work up coming work schedule, it might be a bit before we get to hop back into our Break Bad adventures again, but I suspect it will happen as soon as his schedule clears up, if not perhaps an early morning gaming session during the week days.
