Calabunga! Dude and dudettes! Let’s grab some pizza and hit the sewers! Qvaid and I decided to give the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate a run for our next co-op gaming experience!
With the completion of our run in Star Trek Prodigy Supernova on Wednesday evening, we had already picked up TMNT: Splintered Fate and the DLC Casey Jones & The Junkyard Jam and had it loaded in wait to relive some childhood memories!
We did get a brief start on the game on Wednesday later in the evening. A bit of a short session given the time we started to be fair though.
Even still, I enjoyed wracking some Footclan heads with those nunchucks while Qvaid beat them down with Don’s Quarterstaff!
We learned some interesting mechanics in this action ‘rpg’ platformer with rogue-like mechanics on our initial start. When we called it, we learned we lost all the ‘scrap’ we had earned and saved as we had a few mishaps and found our self back at the Turtle’s Lair.
What I can say from the brief start is it is chalked full of action, humor, fun, laughs, and a bit of frustration. Even the lower difficulty it defaults you too has been a bit of a challenge for Qvaid and I thus far.
Hopefully some of those upgrades we are getting with the Dragon Coins might balance things out for us a bit as we go!
