Summoners War: Hack Attempt Notice

News

Com2us posted on their official Discord concerning an Account Hacking Attempt Notification early this morning. According to information linked to their Hive website (which you can view here.), Com2us has confirmed no Summoners were affected by the attempt. They took measures to secure and stop the issue, and are also currently investigating the issue. I didn’t receive any of the OTP emails they are referring too in their post, so I suspect not all Summoners were affected by the attempt either.

Greetings from Com2uS.

First, we would like to apologize for causing worry that you may have experienced from some Summoners receiving emails due to account hacking attempts.

We would like to provide updates on the situation that is currently being discussed in the community and how we have responded to the hacking attempts.

It has been confirmed that the account hacking attempts using Hive OTP emails were made by abusing the Find Password function.

We understood the gravity of the hacking attempts and swiftly identified the source of the issue and the individuals targeted.
Although the Hive OTP emails were issued in an attempt to hack accounts, we confirmed that no Summoner was affected by this.

Furthermore, we will enhance security through internal updates and conduct a thorough examination of the entire system to determine whether there is any opportunity for exploiting further features.
We apologize once more for raising concerns about an important part of game security as a result of the account hacking attempts that should have been monitored carefully.

To guarantee the security of your account, we urge you to verify your email address and create a secondary password.
If you have any questions or concerns about this issue, please contact our Customer Support and we will assist you further.
