Reliving a classic

News

As mentioned in the RPG section of our site. Several of us decided to make an attempt to roll through this classic just recently. The game play as a co-op, if you will, can certainly can take patience and incredible coordination with your party members. If you and your group is capable of such, I implore you to give either Baldur’s Gate II or perhaps one of the other games in the ip a try. Thus far only 3 of the initial 6 of us that were planning to play together have gave it a good effort, but even still, it has certainly been great fun. For me personally, it’s the closest thing to date of an ‘actual D&D campaign’ in a video game. I’d dare to say that it certainly rivals the D&D based MMOs out there even now. My son, a good friend of ours, and myself have been trekking through the Shadows of Amn every chance we get as of late. We’ve certainly learned several things the hard way. (Bit of advice, have the host pick one of the beefiest classes available, if possible. If the host’s character dies, well, you get to load from a save.) The graphics are certainly dated in this little charm, but if you can look past that, it has plenty of depth, fantastic gameplay, and can be tons of fun (another warning, for the patient, and roleplay game lover). I’m hopeful we’ll complete the Shadows of Amn Saga and continue on with the: Throne of Bhaal and The Black Pits II. Although the Black Pits II sounds more like just a gladiator ring of sorts.
