Hello Games announced the release of patch: Xeno Arena 6.31 via their Discord and website today. You can warp on over to their website for a look at the official patch message, here.
This patch is just a short and sweet set of fixes concerning the recent release of Xeno Arena. Per the usual Hello Games style, they are on top of the bugs or at least they appear to be.
Eldon actually sent me a link to the video for the initial release this morning in Facebook messenger. I thanked him, although I also let him know I was aware of the update, having posted about it on the day before.
From what I’ve gathered on threads, websites, etc… the community seems to be a bit of a mix in terms of whether or not they like or enjoy the new changes. The majority I noted at a glance seemed to be mostly in favor, even in cases where they felt like they wouldn’t likely participate in the activity much. I would likely fall into that boat myself. I mean free content, is free content. I feel like it’s probably not something I would do much unless I was in the mood, but still nice to have the option should I want too.
I have a couple pets in No Man’s Sky, although it hasn’t been something I interact with a lot. I suppose something like this could change that, alongside also getting players to be more selective on what they choose to make a pet out of. Prior to the Xeno Arena patch, the number of pets you could have by default was pretty low, and I seem to remember the number you could end up with if you unlocked the slots was also a low amount considering the other options you had for inventory, storage, etc…
I’m curious if the addition of this content means players can have even more pets in the future (if not already) and perhaps even more slots to unlock?
Stay safe out there, Travellers! Not all Sentinels are out to get you. Just most.
