No Man’s Sky: Patch 5.1.1

News

Hello Games announced the release of Patch 5.1.1 on Tuesday around noon-ish CST. I missed the announcement, but noted it later that evening as I was getting ready to turn in. I’ve halted most of the work I was doing on my current save as I keep hearing rumors (or maybe it’s been confirmed at this point) of a universe reset. Ultimately, I’m a bit excited about what it might entail, but a touch sad that the work I’ve done fairly recently will be lost. My understanding is it ‘sounds’ like you’ll keep character progress but will lose bases. I’m not opposed to the way it sounds, and in truth, even if it is a complete reset, I could manage it. I really do love and enjoy the game, and it is enough that I would be willing to start over should that be required. You can take a peek at the official patch message on their website, here.

WORLDS PART 1 PATCH 5.01.1

July 23, 2024.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you to everyone playing No Man’s Sky Worlds Part 1, especially those taking the time to report any issues they encounter via Zendesk or console crash reporting.

We are listening closely to your feedback, and have identified and resolved a number of issues. These fixes are included in patch 5.01.1, which is now live on Steam and will be coming to other platforms as soon as possible.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issues that caused the player to become invisible after jumping and shooting.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the player to be positioned 50m off the ground when riding some synthetic lifeforms.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some planets to become infested, resulting in a loss of any settlements on that world, and in minor terrain shifts. The infested status of planets has been restored to how it was pre-Worlds. Newly infested planets will become un-infested, and previously infested planets will be restored as such.
  • Fixed a crash related to planetary rendering.
  • Fixed a rare rendering crash.
  • Fixed a rendering hang.

We will continue to release patches as issues are identified and resolved. If you experience any issues, let us know by submitting a bug report.

Thank you,
Hello Games
