Hello Games announced the release of Patch 5.05 for No Man’s Sky early this morning. It looks like it addresses quite a bit of fixes and crashes from recent changes. While NMS is out of the genre of games I typically play, for some time now for me, it ranks as my favorite game to date. Space games are not usually my jam. Something about NMS, calls to me. It is a game, that I can play even alone and find so much joy. It’s also a game that once again introduced me to that feeling of waiting for the work day to end, and the anxiousness of logging in after it comes to a close. I tend to jump around like a lost pet in terms of what I’m doing and current goals, but the freedom it grants for such things is part of it’s appeal to me in all honestly. I’ll freely admit there isn’t a lot in the way of combat, unless you go looking for it, but you can find it if you are wanting to engage in such actions. I spend an incredible amount of time with exploration, discovery, and scanning planets for flora, fauna, and minerals. Our group recently had a short game play with NMS, and I’m ever so hopeful another will come to fruition in the near future! In any case, if you’d like to take a peek at the official patch message, you can do so at their website, here.
