Free Range Games announced news of an upcoming expansion for Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria via their official Discord server today. You can hop over too their website, to take a peek at what may be to come in the release, here. I would suggest it as there is a little bit of eye candy for your viewing pleasure awaiting your arrival. Do be mindful of spoilers though, if you are worried about such things.
Several of our group did make a semi-short run through LotR: RtM some time ago. I’m not entirely sure what happened with that. It was a game I felt like the majority of us were enjoying, but for whatever reason it did fall to the wayside fairly quickly.
For me, RtM held quite a few advantages I love with gaming. Dwarves, combat, mining, fantasy role play, survival, fun, and more importantly laughs. The short adventures we shared some time ago, were still worth it to me, perhaps the gang might be up for a bit more adventure again at some point in the not so distant future. But then, Kilen and I have certainly had our hands full with our recent endeavors into The Quinfall.
All that said, I do still have the world we played in, we wouldn’t even have to start over if we didn’t want too. Although, I suspect we probably would at this point. It has been so long since we last played, I imagine a good ‘fresh’ start would probably be in order for us to get back into the proper swing of the dwarven adventures that await.
