Free Range Games announced the addition of dedicated servers for Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria via their Discord earlier today. If you have an interest in renting said services from Nitrado you can take a gander at their offers, here. Free Range Games have partnered with Nitrado and have in in game option to select the services. I actually noted the option over the weekend, along with some odd issue where our game world wouldn’t load at random. To get around it, I just kept trying, and eventually it would load. I have to say it was very odd behavior.
Error, Kilen, and I encountered a few oddities playing LoTR: RtM on Saturday. Strange issues getting the multiplayer session to load, situations where the in game music would start cutting in and out, and slight performance hindrances. To be fair, the performance was better than it has been save for the music situation since we started. I suspect given the recent patch date of the 13th, that either we were encountering some situations from the recent patch. I didn’t notice any patches prior to that except the 31st of Jan. I would also blame my system for the situation if not for the fact that Error and Kilen both had the same issues playing on Windows desktops.
