Once again, I fell behind on the weekly Hobbit Plays Weekend Gameplay Recounts. Things have been a bit busier as of late, and I’m certainly struggling to keep up with all the hobbies. The following posts consists of the recount of gameplay for the weekend of: 02/16/2024 – 02/18/2024, and 02/23/2024 – 02/25/2024. Both weekends were packed with some fantastic gaming fun! We’ve hit a few patterns, which I’m sure are reflected on previous Hobbit Plays posts. In truth though, so long as everyone is having a good time, that’s really all that matters.
In the case of the ‘Unknown’ below, I walked through the Hobbit Plays posts to use a new formatting I’ve decided on, and unfortunately in some of these older posts, I didn’t list who all played and/or what days we played in some cases.

Days played: All week
Players: Hobbit
Comments: Just the usual daily quests, event dailies, farming, and typical SW shenanigans!

Comments: We managed to get some time into RDO on both weekends listed in this post, although the weekend of the 16th – 18th, we primarily grinded out some bounty hunter missions. There are some great rewards for the bounty hunter role until March 4th, and we are certainly trying to make the best of what it has to offer. My son and I have certainly been able to take advantage of the extra gold, money, and experience this event has to offer. We’ve both maxed out the bounty hunter role, and those extra in game funds have been put to some great use (at least in our opinions!).

Comments: While my wife and I didn’t get to play Stardew Valley on the 25th, we did manage a fairly successful gaming session of SV on the 18th! We’ve opened the farm and the resort on Ginger Island, and even hit the volcano dungeon a few times during the session. We’ll be hoping back into SV again on Monday and Tuesday of this week with hopes to get more Ancient Fruit planted at the island farm as soon as we are able! Looking forward to those adventures this week!

Comments: In a surprising change of pace, my son wanted to add some pvp oriented games to our play list and he had this masterpiece in his sights. . We were grinding out the majority of the weekend of the 23rd – 25th in RDO, but Sunday we decided to pick up HLL. We loaded it up, and started some World War II combat adventures! In truth, at our first look at this game, I had my doubts about whether or not it would be a good fit for me. Ultimately, we both decided to take the plunge, and wow… just wow. This game is amazing. Our experience thus far has been incredible. We are obviously both new and for me especially the struggle is still real. I’ve decided to move to the Medic role, as at least I feel like I’m able to contribute something to the game. The community we’ve encountered at least thus far has been fantastic! People will certainly offer advice, help, and walk you through the ropes if you are willing to get out of your shell and let them know you are new. We’ve still only got a good handful of matches under our belts, but all of them have been a memorable adventure for me.
