Hobbit Plays: 12.29.23 – 01.02.24

Hobbit Plays News

Happy New Years! It was another extended weekend for me with the holiday falling on the same days as Christmas. As such, I had a couple extra days to add to the list of days I was able to do some extended gaming. Overall, even though I’m still a bit under the weather. I had a blast! Much like the Hobbit Plays before, I spent a good portion of Monday and Tuesday gaming with my wife. I mean those are her days after all. We had a fantastic time! I admit our entire group did call it quite a bit earlier than usual given our current state, but still good times, none-the-less.

Days played: All week

Players: Hobbit

Comments: Just the usual daily quests, event dailies, farming, and typical SW shenanigans!

Days played: All weekend

Players: Error, Kilen, Hobbit

Comments: We started the weekend off on Friday night with some Red Dead Online. I only have the online version as I’ve mentioned before, so I haven’t been able to go through the story mode. I’ve heard some great things about it, and ultimately it may have been a mistake on my part, but I still feel like I wouldn’t really have the time to attempt it in any case. I’ll settle for the shenanigans we can manage via the Online client. We enjoyed it so much this was effectively the only game we played in our group all weekend. Save for our FL buddy that ditched us a time or two for some Project 1999 sessions. Our Saturday session was an epic adventure, and I can’t recall how long it’s been since I laughed so much my stomach hurt!

Days played: Sunday

Players: Qvaid, Hobbit

Comments: Sunday night my wife and I sat down for some adventures in Stardew Valley. Over the course of Sunday night through Tuesday night, we managed to pull off some new achievements and we completed the Community Center! Summer finally rolled back around and we were able to snag that Fiddlehead Fern we needed to finish it off! We’ve certainly made a ton of mistakes on this first play through, but it’s been an incredible amount of fun. We’ve also certainly learned the lesson in tending to our local neighbors and friends in the game. Super important for progression! We’ve talked about perhaps starting a new game at some point to try and correct some of the mistakes we’ve made on this run, but I can see the reluctance to do so on her part. We’d literally be starting from day one, and effectively we’ve been able to correct most of the mistakes we’ve made on this run.
