Another week where scheduling was certainly a bit out of sorts. Kilen was under the weather, and Aces was MIA for a good portion of the weekend.
Mostly all our group managed was to hop into our Discord and chat it up while we were either playing NMS or some other game in the slew of Honorable Mentions listed below.
It’s one of the first times in years we haven’t really been able to dial it in on a game all of us would like to play together.
In truth, I don’t know what game Nobodies Heroes as a group is playing at the now. For the first time (at least that I recall), I marked NH Plays as ‘To Be Decided’.
Just the sheer number of Honorable Mentions this week should reflect how out of sorts we have been as of late. Granted some of them came from sources that don’t game with us regularly, but a good portion of them were from our usual gang.
On a brighter note, the ‘Breach‘ expedition for No Man’s Sky starts on the 31st! I’m looking forward to trying my luck at that one since I missed it on the initial launch!
I’m sure we’ll all agree on something to play together at some point. Until then, at least we all still chat it up in Discord while we are playing our current game of choice. That is truly all that matters.
Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Qvaid and I continued with our adventures in Spells & Secrets as scheduling allowed. On Christmas Eve, she was a bit too tired to play after all the festivities, so we missed Wednesday of this week.
On Tuesday evening (or perhaps early Wednesday morning), we did manage to Complete the game for the first time. It was quite the adventure indeed! I managed to get a combination of artifacts that effectively granted me endless magic. This allowed me to use the Shield spell almost endlessly as we fought our way through the offenses of the Prince and his Crown lackeys!
On that note, we did manage to beat the game a second time on Thursday, this time with out the ‘God-like’ combination of spells and artifacts. (I mean to be fair, we tried to replicate it, but it requires too many artifacts to produce the results easily, and artifact drops are random.).
Thus far, we’ve decided to continue our adventures in Spells & Secrets as there are potions, artifacts, and Students we’d like to unlock/find!

Days played: All Week
Players: Aces, Error, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: Even with the holidays and work, I did manage to play No Man’s Sky every day this week. Even if it was a small session here or there before my work day started, or before we got started on the holiday festivities.
In some cases, it might have been just to move things along with my two settlements, collect rewards from my frigate expeditions, and collect materials from my farm on my Capital Ship, bases, etc…
Aces, Error, and Kilen all played at least a little bit, albeit, not as much as I did, and even still in very sporadic sessions.
I had a fairly productive time playing over the weekend. I managed to find all the fauna in 3 of my Discovery Shire star systems. I crafted, I refined, I gathered, and I explored to my hearts content.
I did miss the Quicksilver mission for this weekend, but I have no regrets. I enjoyed it all, and did work on the quest line for my living ship.
I already have one from an expedition, but it appears I need the quest to be able to craft some of the tech for said ship, and it never hurts to have more than one. 🙂

Days played: Sunday
Players: Error, Hobbit
Comments: I picked up Schedule I late Saturday evening/early Sunday morning before calling it a night.
On Sunday, Error and I started a fresh run of Schedule I and made some fairly decent progress before he had to call it for the day.
I got arrested during the run at least once, and I also missed a deal I setup because I got a bit in over my head and couldn’t find the last location I was supposed to meet my client.
Over all, the game has been quite a bit more fun that I anticipated. I should have known though, Error hasn’t steered me wrong yet.
I’ve actually added quite a few games to my list based on his recommendations that turned out rather nice. Red Dead Online, R.E.P.O, Hell Let Loose, Friday the 13th: The Game, Hogwarts Legacy, and quite a few others for a start.
Unfortunately for us, we didn’t manage to convince anyone else in the group to tag along. We’ll see how the scheduling works out and how much we are able to play it for now. Still, it looks to be shaping up to a fairly fun game.
