The scheduling this week is certainly starting to show the holidays are among us. Kilen was MIA a decent amount for his wife’s birthday. I still pressed on with my No Man’s Sky adventures. Even given the solo play for a decent portion of the weekend, I had a blast.
Now to be fair, some of that was my fault. Qvaid and I had some Christmas shopping to do on Saturday, and it took a bit longer than either of us had anticipated.
Never knew walking around stores for gifts could be so exhausting. The level of social interaction along was almost murder for me! Other than the social anxiety, Qvaid and I definitely had a good time spending it walking around joking, and talking while we were on an adventure to find gifts for everyone.
The number of Honorary Mentions this week is almost staggering!? It would seem quite a few of the gang is struggling with a game to call home for a bit. Or perhaps the holidays has their scheduling quite a bit off as well? To be fair, I have added quite a few more people to the list to add Honorable Mentions for, so the majority of the reasoning is likely behind that.
Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: On Monday evening, Qvaid and I started our initial play through of Spells & Secrets. For a rogue-like adventure it seems to have Qvaid’s attention so far!
I admit, that has me a bit surprised, as several of the games like that we’ve played she didn’t particularly care for.
Thus far we were met with a decent blend of puzzles, combat, and a bit of story. The over all experience thus far has certainly been pleasant.
Qvaid and I continued through out the remainder of our gaming sessions, grinding out experience, gold, and credit to progress our characters. We’ve managed to purchase at least all the starting spells for every teacher we’ve encountered thus far. Granted only the beginning spells are above tier 1 so far.
I can’t get over the combinations you can use with spells to balance out your game play. It’s a remarkable set of mechanics.
Qvaid and I have certainly been having a great time in our adventures with Spells & Secrets. We are also looking forward to more adventures to come as we traverse the Academy saving students, gathering experience, gold, and creature companions!

Days played: All Week
Players: Aces, Eldon, Kilen, SoSirius, Hobbit
Comments: Quite a few of us made some decent progress in No Man’s Sky, even given a bit of some scheduling conflicts here and there.
There wasn’t a lot of play together per se, mostly just the lot of us in Discord chatting together and comparing what we were doing, had achieved, etc..
We did join each other’s games a bit here and there to help each other out with missing resources, quests, etc… but shortly after we were back at whatever goals we were previously working on.
I did a lot of work to my two settlements over the week before work, and a bit here and there while it was in the background. Some of those timers are lengthy after all.
Aces and I both started the void egg quest in NMS to try our luck at some living ships. Kilen and I both have one, but Kilen is the only one of us thus far that has completed the quest line ,and gained the ability to upgrade the ships (at least to my knowledge).
I also started work on Sunday to decommissioning my main Head Quarters base to a new one in the new galaxy I’ve managed to make it too. It was quite a bit of work, and I certainly made big progress. Albeit, I didn’t quite finish it before I had to call it a night on Sunday evening.
All well, projects to carry on later on! 🙂
