Happy Labor Day! Well, obviously it was Monday, but that is one of the reasons for the late Hobbit Play’s post. That and the insane schedule I had yesterday.
I was dealing with some some things, and what was supposed to be a relaxing day off turned into a bit of a complex situation.
There was a bit of a schedule adjustment this week and Qvaid wasn’t available for any gaming on Thursday. I ended up playing The Quinfall with the gang to pass the time.
Looking over the schedule, I played The Quinfall every day that week. Although, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were only bits of game time earlier in the morning before starting my work day. In some cases it might have only been to log in long enough to check the status of my base altar and to replenish materials as necessary.
All the scheduling changes aside, I did have quite a bit of fun gaming over the week as usual. Qvaid and I managed some really good sessions of Revenge of the Savage Planet, and The Quinfall has certainly been a great bit of fun (even if it is a MMO).
I’ve really been enjoying The Quinfall a lot. It’s been a good change of pace from what we typically play and while it is early access, it has features I find nice for a MMO. The grind can certainly be a bit much, and I haven’t quite decided if I like that part quite as much, but all things said, ‘I’ have been enjoying the time spent on it.
Ironically, it’s one of the first times in a bit where only two games made the highlights for a Hobbit Plays post. I did manage to find more Honorable Mentions for this week though. 🙂

Highlights

Comments: Qvaid and I started the week out by back tracking to some of the previously visited planets and collecting all the materials we could to upgrade our health, stamina, cosmetics, etc… We managed to get everything we could currently from the first two planets, before deciding to hit the Planet cannon, and heading to a new planet for a bit of exploration before calling it a night (albeit late night) on Monday evening.
Tuesday, Qvaid and I were killing it. Gathering upgrades from the various planets we’ve been too. We also went to the 4th planet and managed to get the upgrade for the acid based, amber melting bombs. This opened the door for even more exploration and resource gathering.
The team behind this game did a miraculous job! An incredible amount of work went into this game! Qvaid and I have really been enjoying everything it has to offer in our gaming sessions!

Comments: I don’t usually play other games through out the week days, as I’ve allotted that time to game with Qvaid. However, several days of this week, I was up earlier than usual for whatever reason, and I managed to get a bit of time in The Quinfall during those early mornings. Perhaps even a quick login in the evenings just to check my base altar and restock it as needed here and there.
I logged in early Thursday morning to a 100% full experience bonus for 19 day!? That was nice. Sadly it was mostly just to gather a few resources and to check the status of my base altar. The previous bugs I’ve encountered with it eating resources faster than the designated days has me on a paranoid edge.
