It is so great to be back! You might notice the schedule is a bit off this week. Generally, Monday – Thursday evenings, Qvaid (my wife) and I game together. Error (my son) started a new job, and it functions on a swing shift schedule. He doesn’t always have the weekends off, so Qvaid decided to sacrifice a few days this week so we could game together.
Eldon, Error, Kilen, and I mostly played R.E.P.O on Monday and Tuesday evening. Qvaid decided to use the time to work on some crafting projects for family and friends, and a bit of some prep for an upcoming crafting show she attends with my sister annually.
There was not really a lot to report in terms of Honorable Mentions for this Hobbit Plays. Either quite a few of my friends are playing things outside of Steam, and not letting us know, or everyone is just insanely busy with Summer activities. MMOs seem to be a hot topic on most of our gaming friends minds, and those do take up quite a bit of time, no doubt.
Even still with all the crazy schedules and changes to said schedule, I had a great time gaming over the course of this week. I am looking forward to some more gaming with Qvaid this week however (or TV shows, etc…).
Game long my friends, Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday
Players: Eldon, Error, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: Monday and Tuesday evening were definitely some adventures in R.E.P.O! Error’s suggestion that we play this masterpiece of a game are certainly well noted!
It is a fantastic take on a horror game, chalked full of laughs, shenanigans, and fantastic time! Kudos to H2O Delirious for brining the game to Error’s attention!
Sadly, Error returns to work on Friday evening, so I’m doubtful he’ll be able to join us anytime in the near recent future. But alas, work is work, and we all get that the livings have to be made. After all, he’s got those adorable grand children, and wife to take care of!

Days played: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Eldon, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: In all earnest, the gameplay of The Quinfall on Monday and Thursday were a bit lack luster. There were no double experience bonuses going, and I was mostly grinding attempts to level my base altar on these days. Monday was extremely short lived, as we quickly moved over to R.E.P.O with the rest of the group.
Thursday I did a decent amount of inventory management, and managed to scrap up some resources, albeit not much with all the distractions I had going.
Definitely looking forward to some of the weekend game play of The Quinfall. Even if it’s just grinding more of the base altar experience, or helping Eldon catch up on the primary quest with Kilen and some dungeon adventures!
As projected Eldon, Kilen, and I played a decent amount of The Quinfall from Friday through Sunday!
I managed to get my new base complete, and my base altar to a maxed out level 4. I even managed all the cosmetic things for the structures, walls, etc… Nothing in the way of cosmetic for the base yet as I have to gather materials, and work on carpentry first. Given there seems to be some kind of bug with the alter and feeding it, I’ve been paranoid about keeping an eye on it to make sure the materials stay where they should be, and I don’t log in to a bunch of missing workbenches and materials.
Over the course of the weekend, Eldon, Kilen, and I managed some assistance to Eldon for his primary quests, and a decent number of dungeon runs.
Kilen also helped me get some level 50 ‘Robe’ gear crafted for me. I was still stuck in level 40 gear as the level 50 gear I was rewarded was ‘Heavy’, and I didn’t want the negatives to the class bonuses I need for being a Life Staff character (Healer).

Days played: Tuesday, Wednesday
Players: Hobbit
Comments: I should start by adding that Titan Quest II is still in the really early access stage of development.
Even still, I’ve certainly been having a great time romping around in this Action RPG of legend! I managed a bit of time after the gang called it on Tuesday, and Wednesday as well.
While I was going to give it a bit of a run on Thursday, I spent too much time in The Quinfall, and ultimately decided it best to call it a night after I wrapped up the grinding in The Quinfall later in the evening.
The multiplayer part of Titan Quest II is still in the unstable branch or game play as it were. Eldon has watched me in Discord on a few of the adventures, and he seems to show interest. I’m hopeful, I just might have someone to play the game with me at some point in the somewhat near future!?

Days played: Wednesday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Qvaid and I definitely had a short week of gaming. She offered to sacrifice a couple days for Error so we could all game together, and on Thursday she had plans to spend some time with a friend. Wednesday was the only day we had available for us this week, and we spent that time with our upgraded gear collecting resources on previous planets we’d visited to try and prepare for better gaming sessions as the month progresses. Over all though, it was still fun, and we certainly managed to scoop up some more print cartridges to print more gear, eggs for the health and stamina upgrades, and even some resources to add with upgrading gear.
This game has been some fantastic adventures, incredible fun, and certainly chalked full of laughs, and good times!
