Hobbit Plays News

What a wonderful week of gaming! What a wonderful week indeed! There was ample amounts of The Quinfall, Outward: Definitive Edition, and even some D&D!

Scheduling and a bit of some sickness did have some of us out of the usual routine. But we managed the best we could with all that were available to participate none-the-less.

As such, we didn’t really log any time in Return to Moria this weekend. Iron was available at some point, but ended up calling it before anything got started in terms of gaming. I suspect it would have been the likely outcome in any case with Falken being MIA and all.

The Honorable Mentions seem a bit light for last week as well. Some repeats of previously mentioned games, with Eldon and NXUS adding a bit of some random gaming attempts to the list as well.

Qvaid and I made some decent strides in our Outward: Definitive Edition adventures, with talk of possible more adventures to come after this run! It is such an incredible game! Such an incredible game, indeed.

Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Players: Qvaid, Hobbit

Comments: Qvaid and I managed to complete the famous Rust & Vengeance quest again in our new run as the week progressed.

From there we headed to Monsoon and got a start on the Holy Mission faction quest. It was the quest Qvaid wanted to attempt on this run. At the time of this post, we are standing at something around a total of: 671 hours. And… we have enjoyed EVERY SINGLE LOVING SECOND of it!

On Thursday evening, we had assisted Oliele Aberdeen with clearing the corruption from the Altar in Chersonese and headed back to Monsoon to report it.

In a bit of irony, Qvaid decided she did not want to do the Purifier quest as we passed through the camp in the Hallowed Marsh. We were content to just skip it this time around.

That said, however, we do have 3 days to wait until Ellinara presents us with our next task.

Qvaid and I were talking that over, and it looks like we might be making an attempt at the Purifier quest after all? I’ll know more by the start of our next gaming session on Monday evening!

On an unrelated note, Qvaid and I are enjoying our time back in Outward: Definitive Edition so much, we’ve already started plans for another possible run after we complete our current!

Days played: All week

Players: Aces, Kilen, Hobbit

Comments: As per my typical routine, the majority of Monday – Thursday was spent with The Quinfall running in the background. On mornings I woke up early, I would get a bit of quest time in, or perhaps some resource or experience grinding. Although those situations are rather rare.

Mostly, I just auto-fish, or run caravans while trying to keep the scheduling in mind as to not interrupt game time for Qvaid and I later in the evenings.

The weekend was spent with Aces, Kilen, later my son NXUS, and myself grinding away for experience at the level 100 party camps.

We also had a bit of some Clan War action here and there, although to be fair, there are still quite a few of us under level 100 and undergeared.

Over all, it was a fantastic time for the majority of us involved. The leadership of Veydrin is certainly putting in work trying to help out the rest of their crew!

I’m looking forward to the day we reach level 100 as characters, gear up, and can contribute a bit more to the process!

In truth, the experience for me reminds me even more so of the days I left behind in EverQuest so long ago.

It’s been a lot of fun hanging out with them and our regular gaming crew! Seems to be the best of both worlds lately!

Days played: Saturday

Players: ColdCheese, Kilogre, NXUS, Hobbit

Comments: We had some missing on this particular D&D session, but it was still a fantastic time!

ColdCheese has been doing an amazing job as DM, and his commentary was certainly entertaining!

NXUS and I stayed for board games after the D&D session came to a close, but some conflicts in scheduling forced us to call it a bit early.

Unfortunately, a bit before the gaming started, although we did get a decent walk through of the rules of one game before we had to bounce.

I’m not too positive when the next D&D game will be due to Easter and NXUS’s schedule, but he and I both are hopeful to get back to the table and rolling the dice with the gang again as soon as scheduling and life allows!
