This week was full of variety of games! It was truly a blast! Several of our group was super excited to get a new D&D campaign going!
All of the gaming adventures were epic! Whether it was rolling dice and pen & paper, or chatting in Discord with everyone while we roamed the cosmos, the depths of Moria, the streets of Hyland Point, the wilds of Aurai, or the lands of The Quinfall!
So many different adventures in so little time! To be fair, I suspect it will take some time to top a week like this again, any time soon!
Error recently changed his game handle to NXUS. I’ve already changed it on the NH Plays page, but figured I should mention it on this week’s Hobbit Plays! He has intentions of perhaps some YouTube shenanigans and I think mostly it is in preparation for that.
The Honorable mentions were certainly a bit light this week. As it goes, a vast majority of the groups involved have settled on games they are playing whether it be solo or in small sections of groups.
I have to admit, while No Man’s Sky is certainly my favorite game, I’ve contemplated putting it on a bit of the back burner for some time. Mostly in hopes that our adventures in The Quinfall might have a decent turn out, even if there are only a handful of us playing.
Now that isn’t too say there is no room left for our adventures in Return to Moria! Not at all! It seems most of the group has fallen into a spell where they mostly grind out resources during the week, and we save the real content for times when we can at least muster a decent number of our core group! There would certainly be time for us to place The Quinfall on hold to get in some grand adventures as dwarves together!
Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Qvaid and I had a fairly productive week in our Outward adventures!
To be fair, we haven’t started our faction quest just yet. Mostly we wanted to do some exploring and get some practice in before the quest timers were started with the faction quests.
Thus far, it looks like we are going to be going the Holy Mission faction this time around.
We ended the evening on Thursday in Berg after clearing a fairly large portion of the dungeons in Chersonese.
Unless the plan changes, I think we are going to start working on some dungeon clearing and exploring in Enmerkar Forest at the start of our adventures next week.
Qvaid and I are having a fantastic time reliving those Outward adventures again! I’m also adjusting to the use of a controller slowly, but steadily!

Days played: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Players: Error, Hobbit
Comments: Error and I had an early morning gaming session on Wednesday before my work day started.
Imagine our surprise when we were met with the inability to actually run Schedule I any more!?
Fortunately, Steam came to the rescue with Proton 9.0-4. To be fair Error tried 10.0-4 first at my suggestion, but there were some strange anomalies with the graphics, and I suggested we either move to Proton Experimental or go with Proton 9.0-4 to see how it looked.
NXUS and I made some decent progress in building our um, ‘Not So Legal Empire’ over the course of the weekend. We have several more locations purchases, alongside of some nice businesses to help us move our money around.
We ended the gaming session on Saturday with a half-hearted attempt to start moving operations to some of the new locations. Mostly all we managed was getting things packed up and ready before it was getting late enough that NXUS decided to call it.

Days played: All week
Players: Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: Once again, I had a grand time playing NMS before work in the mornings, and occasionally leaving it up to refine materials, or watch ships land either in Space Stations and/or Trading Posts.
I was after the final Exotic starship pilot for my squadron. I’m here to say, I had a horrible time finding one through out the week. Granted I was busy with work, so I suppose it is always likely I missed one landing when I was attempting that method.
Luck was with me to some extent though. I managed to find my final Squadron Pilot over the weekend. I now have the total of 4 allowed Squadron Pilots, S Class, that fly exotic star ships!
I also assisted Kilen with an issue he was having completing the Remnant Expedition! I’m not sure when he got to the point he was at, but he had a bit of a struggle with the final steps.
We got it sorted out, and he was once again free from the Expedition and able to roam the cosmos at will.

Days played: Sunday
Players: Falken, Iron, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: Once again, we were all exploring the depths of Moria together! Sadly, NXUS was at work on Sunday, but we had Durin’s Axe reforged and thought we could open the doors barred by Shadow.
We started that process, but found out fairly quickly there was far more we needed to do before our adventures were to come to an end (and I suspect we start the Durin’s Folk DLC for RtM).
We uncovered some new areas with the use of Durin’s Axe, because it literally beats away the shadow blocking your way!
We ended the night with a few battles with another drake (or perhaps a dragonling), droves of wargs, and droves of Orks.
Falken and Iron certainly have my gratitude for waiting on all the gang to get together before we tried to progress that part of our story further along!

Days played: Sunday
Players: Aces, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: In a bit of random irony, Aces, Kilen, and I were talking about MMOs again. Aces has been playing WoW a bit more lately.
I said something to the effect of, I do love WoW, but in truth, if I were to play a MMO right now, it would probably be The Quinfall.
I mean I like the game after all, I just fell into a rut where no one was on, and being the only weapon I leveled up as Lifestaff, I couldn’t really solo much with all my skills and points built into the healing side of things.
This could have changed to be fair with the latest 1.0+ launch, but if so I’m not aware of that being the case.
In any case, before we knew it, Aces, Kilen, and myself were back in The Quinfall working on primary quests and leveling our characters again!
I have to admit, it was fun to be back, and this time, I chose to level Two Handed Hammer as a ‘main’ thing so I can do things when other people are not online.
I don’t doubt, that it might make progression a bit difficult since I plan to swap to life staff to group with Aces and Kilen, but it will certainly be worth it, if I can pull it off.

Days played: Saturday
Players: ColdCheese, Kilogre, Falken, NXUS, Hobbit
Comments: For the first time in what feels like a literal age, we started another D&D Campaign!
The snacks, beverages, camaraderie, and adventure started around 12:00 PM on Saturday, and moved all the way until around 3:30 PM.
We just finished up a battle against an Ankheg, did a short rest, and after a short break, it was decided to call it to start prep for a bit of board gaming with some our the group that was showing up around 4:00 PM.
NXUS and I participated in a few board games before it was time for us to call it and head back home. We had quite a drive to get home, and had already been gone since earlier in the day to make the game time.
It was SO MUCH fun, and truly a blast to see everyone outside of our CliffCon gaming convention!
