Over all, the week was again fantastic for this ole Hobbit! Ironically with that said, I did end Saturday on a bit of a somber note, and that had me feeling a bit rough through out most of the day on Sunday.
I’m not sure what happened exactly, but I suspect I got a hold of a food item that had an ingredient I’m prone to cause bad issues for me. I’m not positive if it is an allergy or an autoimmune although I’ll contest to the fact that the symptoms seem more like an autoimmunity.
In any case, I did make the most of it, and I played NMS all day Sunday because I can walk away from my desk when I need to with relative ease on that wonderful game.
The adventures in Return to Moria were epic as always, at least in my humble opinion! Qvaid and I started another set of adventures in Outward Definitive Edition! That was insanely exciting for me, and I have to admit Qvaid seemed to be really jazzed about it as well. It’s mostly for practice for me with the controller as we prepare for the upcoming release of Outward 2 sometime this year. Qvaid and I are both so excited to have another opportunity to live some more Outward adventures with the sequel!
Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Qvaid and I continued our grind through gear, gold, and upgrades on Monday & Tuesday evenings. We had already maxed out our level sometime before on previous sessions.
On Tuesday evening, we managed to bring our play through to a close with a 100% completion of this marvelous little gem of a game!
Qvaid and I both really enjoyed Cat Quest III and all it brought to the table. We are hopeful there might be a Cat Quest IV in the works at some point. *Whispers* Come on The Gentlebros, don’t let us down!

Days played: Wednesday, Thursday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Oh, how Qvaid and I missed this wonderful game! We started in our usual fashion on Wednesday evening. You know the typical relief of the over all grind that is Outward: Definitive Edition.
We created characters, got to Cierzo, and gave ourselves a bit of a decent boost in terms of gear and currency. We enjoy the game so very much, but we both admit the over all grind is just a bit more than we want to work through after our first failed run.
A run the characters never really made it to any fashion of completion as it were. We lost the light house, we were spending nights on the beach in Cierzo in the winter, we did put in the work, we just failed at most everything we tried on that run. Both of us were adapting to the skill set required to play Outward, and it was rough.
That said, we did like the game, and so we developed our own way to play a bit later on. The first run, we managed to do much better. Having saved our Light House and either crafted, bought, or acquired our own set of gear. It was during that second attempt we came to the conclusion that we just needed funds to speed the process along. We had already been saving and grinding so long before we came to that conclusion.
In any case we ended the week on Thursday evening with both of us having at least two full skill trees, and working toward our decisions for the final skill tree for each of us. We also still need quite a few passives and basic skills (perhaps) from the Tier 1 abilities of other classes.
Outward Definitive Edition has it all! Story, a bit of humor, unique class combinations, unique magic system, class system, and grand adventures beyond imagination!

Days played: Thursday, Friday
Players: Error, Hobbit
Comments: Error and I had early morning gaming sessions on Thursday and Friday morning before my work day started this week.
We have the new game file moving along quite nicely on his system. In truth, the change just made far more sense. Our schedules don’t always line up very well with Error’s work shifts and being on nights.
This allows him the opportunity to progress and play the game when we are not quite able to get things in line well enough for us to play together.
He really loves the game from what I can gather, and as such he sometimes wants to sneak in a little bit of time here and there while I’m working, or unavailable as it were.
We still don’t have the barn in operation just yet, but we technically could have at this point. I mean we have the funds for sure, and we’ve already surpassed the previous level of players we were at in the game I was hosting.

Days played: Saturday
Players: Iron, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: It was a bit of an odd weekend for the Return to Moria adventures. Falken, Kilen, and I presume Iron played a decent bit through out the week.
Come time for the weekend, Friday everyone was MIA. I ended up playing NMS since no one was on, and I don’t particularly care to play it solo.
Saturday we were mostly back into the swing of it all, with Kilen, Iron, and myself exploring the depths of Moria again.
Once again, it was full of grand times and fun in the ever present dangers of the depths!
The scheduling was mostly a bit of a fiasco that I suspect couldn’t be helped. I mean life is life after all.
Sunday, I was a bit under the weather. And to my knowledge no one played on Sunday unless they were hiding their status at least.

Days played: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: Over all, save for missing some NMS game play on Tuesday, I had a grand week of roaming the cosmos in my favorite game!
It made the highlight this week, because on several occasions Kilen joined in to work on the Remnant expedition that launched earlier in the week!
I finished it up late Friday evening, or perhaps it was earlier Saturday morning. I assisted Kilen with tips, and some pointers here and there as he started it at various times over the course of the weekend.
He was still working on it when I had to turn in for the night on Sunday evening so at this time at least, I’m not sure where he ended it at.
All I have to add concerning the expedition is, I enjoyed it in numerous aspects. That said there were certainly some frustrating parts for me as well which if you look into it, you’ll see scattered opinions all over reddit, threads, and websites concerning the new content.
Mostly, I enjoyed it. I felt it was a deeper learning experience for players that have ignored the use of their Exocrafts. I can’t say that even with the new knowledge it will impact or change the way I play over all.
I mean habit are a hard thing to break, and I kind of enjoy roaming around on foot as I explore the vastness that is in fact No Man’s Sky.
Still, I did see the viability of using them while I was forced to drive around on the desert planet in my Colossus exocraft. It is faster even at the lower scale of bad tech at the start. And now you can scan from your exocrafts, you can refine with the Colossus, and it protects you from the planets elements at least to some extent, if not completely.
