Dysmantle (Completed)

Games News

During our Monday gaming session (or perhaps early Tuesday morning), Qvaid and I managed to bring our Dysmantle play through to a close. We were close to a 100% completion, or so I felt like we were, but there were still quite a few things to do to wrap that process up.

We were at a point where it would require quite a bit of back tracking and completions of things in areas we had been at some point or another in our adventures.

As the session was coming close to the end, Qvaid made the decision to move forward with just wrapping the game up and running through the end. We already had everything prepared. We stocked the escape pod with the required mana supplies, we repaired it, we fought off the Bunker Zombie Horde, and all we had to do was load up, and head out.

As of right now, I still have Dysmantle loaded, although to be fair it does partake of the Steam Cloud Save feature. As a matter of fact, I’ve had a reloads or two (shut up Aces, Eldon, Error, and Kilen!) in between the first time Qvaid and I fired up Dysmantle, and we were able to just pick up where we left off.

Qvaid said, she knew we were close to 100% completion and there were a few things we had not yet completed in terms of content. There is at least one more ruin for example that we needed 3 more tablets to access. She said we might try to revisit it again at some point, so the chance for 100% completion is still there, albeit, I suspect it to be a bit slim at this point.

Dysmantle, and the three expansions we got were an incredible bit of adventure! It can be a bit grindy, but Qvaid and I were certainly up for the task. I believe we were some where around 94 or 95 when we decided to move forward with completing the game.

We enjoyed the story, humor, and game play quite a bit and I for one am very happy we decided to give it a try on a bit of a whim! That stand true even if we don’t go back and complete it 100%. It was such a great game!

Game long, my friends. Game hard.
