Destiny 2: Test Run

News

Out of the blue, I had a gaming buddy, I haven’t heard from in some time. Liquidd messaged me via text asking me what our group had been playing of late. We had the usual chat about games, what we each had been up too, and some brief catch up on life. At some point, Liquidd brought up that we should give Destiny 2 a try. I was a bit skeptic at first, as I’m not particular of MMOs these days due to time constraints, and the lack of new ideas. Ultimately though, I looked into it a bit more, and found that in truth, Destiny 2 doesn’t really fit the MMO genre. It does have some MMO style elements to it, but most of the player interaction is limited to 3 – 6 players (at least at this time). I played Defiance a bit back in the day, and thought it could be an enjoyable experience to at least give Destiny 2 a test run. My son and I discussed it before I left for a work conference on Wednesday. We both downloaded the game to prep for some possible game play over the weekend. I also messaged a few of our gaming friends and let them know that we planed to give it a try, to see if any of them were interested. Thus far, the test run has been a success. I certainly enjoyed the game, and as far as I can tell everyone else that participated seemed too as well. There appears to be a little bit of everything for you to do in the game. The start can certainly be confusing, there is literally quite a bit going on, especially with the user interface. In any case, I’m looking forward to some more gameplay of it in the upcoming weekend! On a slightly unrelated note… Liquidd was no where to be found this weekend! LOL 🙂
