In a surprising turn of events for me, Liquidd gifted me the Lightfall Expansion and Annual Pass for Destiny 2. I logged in on Thursday night to some new content for myself. This marvelous new content included the Quicksilver Storm rifle! I picked it up at the kiosk in the Tower, and headed out to some Vanguard Nightfall runs. My son and I are already contemplating purchasing Destiny 2 content to get us up to speed. We are hopeful Kilen might be up for that as well, although reading his like or dislike of Destiny 2 has been a bit difficult. He seems to be enjoying the game? But it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve thought all was great with the rest of our gaming group only to find out it was not the case later. Alas, only time will tell I imagine. In any case, I’m looking forward to some more Destiny 2 adventures this weekend, everyone’s schedule allowing. The Nightfall run was, um, successful. I mean in a sense that we completed it. We had two people bounce on us as it was just my son and I last night, and it automatically picked up a random. We didn’t have any mods to stun the enemies that needed it, and in truth, I didn’t even know we needed them until speaking with Liquidd today. Live and Learn, amirite? 🙂
I should note that I believe at this time, all expansions and content are available to all players until June 3rd. I believe Liquidd stated it is in preparation for the new Destiny 2 Expansion releasing on June 4th: The Final Shape. I can’t speak for the group, but I have certainly been enjoying Destiny 2 thus far. Ultimately, I’ve had a few disappointments here and there, but it is a challenging game, I enjoy the mix of combat, puzzles, and strategies required to beat certain areas, bosses, and I’m looking forward to attempting some Raids soon as well.
