Larian Studios announced a small update that will be rolling out for all platforms soon. I seen the mention on their Discord server, although I haven’t noted a mention of it on their Steam site yet. If you have Discord, you can take a peek at the official message, here.
The fix is mostly to address freezes on the PS5 when accessing the party management, although because of the involvement of controller input, the fix is having to be deployed to all platforms.
Our group has had a few gaming sessions of BG3, and they have all certainly been a blast. Sadly, we never seem to finish them. We play hard for a few weeks or perhaps a touch over a month, and then it just fizzles out. That wouldn’t be so bad if we’d pick back up where we left off, but generally we start over when we do come back.
Small Hotfix Incoming
A very small update for us, but one worth you all knowing!
We’re currently rolling out a fix which aims to resolve issues with freezing on PS5 when accessing party management.
As this fix involves tweaks to controller input, it will need to be deployed on all platforms, starting with PC and PS5, and should go live for Xbox and macOS next week.
Cross-play should remain unaffected!
Steam Deck players, if you’ve been running into issues with the Performance Overlay, Steam Deck have now released a Beta update that aims to restore this.

That’s all for now!
