Quite a few changes came down the ole gaming pipeline for this week’s line up! There was absolutely no variety of game play this week!?
Looking over the schedule, I’m sure you’ll notice the only thing listed there is: The Quinfall.
Even still, I’m definitely a happy gaming Hobbit as it were! Qvaid got a bit of The Quinfall gameplay in over the course of last weekend. NXUS had to step away for a short period while Kilen and I were running dungeons and I asked if she would mind stepping in to run his character for the short period.
She was happy too! And then she confessed to me that she also wanted to play The Quinfall.
I got her laptop which had some gaming capability from her craft room, and started the process of loading up the game so we could give it a trial run. Unfortunately, that plan came crashing to a halt during our testing of game play. It could load and run the game, but certainly not in a manner that anyone would enjoy for very long.
I was already in the process of loading up Linux Mint on what used to be a headless Debian Server for some applications she wanted to try, and I noted they could run in Linux. I’ll be the first to admit the hardware wasn’t the greatest for an attempt at The Quinfall, but I also knew it would probably run better than her laptop, and it still had some potential.
As it turns out, it isn’t the most ideal gaming rig, but it does run fairly well, especially with Linux Mint (or some other Linux distribution as it were). And thus started Qvaid’s adventures into the MMO that has been taking my time up on the weekends of late!
Thus far, Qvaid has really been enjoying the time spent in The Quinfall, even with some of the Player VS Player shenanigans we’ve managed to find ourselves in. (Mostly getting wrecked while trying to XP farm…) It has been a really nice addition to our gaming time if I don’t say so myself!
The Honorable Mentions this week are definitely in a weak state. To be fair, I suspect someone out there played something I missed. If I had to take a guess, No Man’s Sky and potentially Space Engineers (1 or 2) would probably be on the list. I imagine SoSirius played it at some point, and I likely missed it…

Players: Aces, Kilen, NXUS, Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Qvaid and I spent the majority of the week day evenings grinding at various experience farm areas trying to get her caught up as much as possible to the rest of us. NXUS would join us here and there as his schedule allowed, and we’ve all been guilty of running some caravans here and there during the week days in the background.
Kilen, Qvaid, and I managed to do some Lifeskill work over the weekend, we ran some dungeons, and have been hard at trying to level up our new clan that we all started together. It has been a grind as well, I should say! We still haven’t even gotten close to level 2 as of yet. Although we are learning a bit more as we go about the better methods to get said Clan Experience!
NXUS was able to join us a bit this weekend as he was preparing for an upcoming vacation (and a bit of a family emergency we all experience on Friday). He found several fantastic XP groups, and Qvaid and I managed to join one later in the evening on Sunday. That group turned out to be an epic find indeed! Qvaid made it from 76 to 82 (35% in) before we ended up having to call it a night later in the evening.
Over all the adventures were definitely grand! It’s been a bit of an adjustment going from the typical variety we had to exclusively playing The Quinfall. That said, I’ve certainly been enjoying it! Qvaid even joins us on the weekend for the adventures and shenanigans!
Fantastic times my friends, with amazing people! Although… we never did see Aces this weekend!? We were wondering where he might have buggered off too!?
