This week in the gaming adventures was stellar as always! Nothing was planned for the weekend, so I also managed quite a good bit of gaming in The Quinfall!
I’ve stated it before, but I haven’t had a MMO catch my attention this hard in such a long time. It has been a real blast!
I think one of the major differences for me has been the PVP aspect of our game play. In truth, we haven’t participated in PVP on this scale in a MMO in some time. It is just another level of risk that makes the game an incredible amount of fun!
Falken and Iron seemed to have been busy with other things as of late, so we haven’t really had any time in Return to Moria since we completed the campaign a decent spell back. To be fair, it was mentioned on a Friday a few weeks ago, but Kilen and I had clan wars to attend in The Quinfall. There was no notice on the request, and the both of us had already missed so many clan wars through out the week. We had to bow out that night.
The list of games I played this week was once again pretty solid, albeit not much in the way of variety. In truth, that didn’t bother me in the slightest. I love Outward: Definitive Edition and I love The Quinfall!
Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Qvaid and I had a stellar time on our 5th run of Outward through out this week. As Wednesday evening was about to come to a close, we actually managed to complete the run after defeating the Crimson Avatar on our first attempt!
I admit we were far better prepared than we have been on previous attempts. We’ve been watching Sheen Shots videos a good bit, and we were buffed to the hilt for the start of the fight! Even managed a spell where we could rebuff at some point to finish up the fight.
It wasn’t a perfect attempt, but it was by far the best attempt Qvaid and I have had in our adventures in Outward: Definitive Edition thus far! We were stoked! We gathered up a bit of loot we left behind in the Scarlet Sanctuary and headed back to New Sirocco to start the process of closing out our 5th run.
Qvaid and I have only ever had one other Holy Mission run, and it seems to end a bit differently than the other factions. It has us wondering if perhaps we are supposed to head back to Monsoon at some point. In any case, we still have ALL our previous characters to hop on in the event that we are in a rare mood to play them again.
On Thursday evening, we created new characters and started preparations for what will be our 6th run in Outward! The method we used to play does take some time, but we did manage to find some ways to speed up the process a good bit. On this build we just opted to build out the characters with classes and gear so we can get right into the thick of things once the adventures go into full swing!
Qvaid and I are effectively swapping roles a bit. I’ve gone a more melee approach, and it looks like she will be moving into more of a magic role! We are both insanely excited to see how we over come our previous comfort levels and what turns for better or worse this run might take us! The only disappointing factor is the way until Monday evening to get started again!

Days played: All week
Players: Aces, Kilen, NXUS, Hobbit
Comments: NXUS had work this weekend, and although he played some this week, it was mostly just some horse breeding and caravan runs here and there as his schedule allowed. Aces got some time in for the later part of the weekend, his week was pretty crazy with work and family time.
Kilen and I did a decent bit of Lifeskills, dungeons, and even managed to make it for the Clan Wars over the weekend! Over all, the Clan Wars can be a blast, albeit, personally I feel like the ‘all week’ style it is currently in is just a bit much. This comes from not really having time to participate on Mondays – Thursdays.
The current format for Clan Wars is every other week, a solid 7 days of battles at 7 PM CST. Everyone I’ve discussed it with feels like it really is a touch over board. I concur with certainty. In truth given the tournament like nature, I feel like 1 to 3 days would be more than enough. Preferably spread out through the week and weekend. Alas, those decisions are not up to us. I suspect some clans revel in the fact that it is 7 days of blood lust!
NXUS still maintains his no crafting life style in The Quinfall. However, Aces, Kilen, and myself have been hard at it as our own schedules allow. We are no where near the finish line, so to speak, but you can’t get it in view if you aren’t putting in the work.
In some aspects, I envy my son’s (NXUS) take on the game play. I mean if you can grind out the coin, you could in theory just buy the gear you want once it is available on the Central Market. Definitely could save some heart ache on the failed enchantment attempts.
Still, the majority of us want the added benefits of bonus chances to enchant gear and the ability to craft our own at some point. I’m curious if any of us will make the full length of the journey over our course of adventures.
