This week was a bit of a scheduling fiasco, but the games were still played! Error and I had some things to take care of on Saturday, and we got an early start. By the time we wrapped up everything, got showers, and got to our PCs, it was sometime around 8 PM CST if I recall.
I’d be lying if I didn’t state that the scheduling Error and I had did disrupt our gaming at least a bit. Life happens though, and these things had to be done. Even with the extra chores this weekend, everyone managed to get some great gaming adventures in! There was No Man’s Sky, Schedule I, and some epic times in Return to Moria!
I can’t speak for Error, but the extra chores certainly have me a bit on the sore side this Monday as I start my work day!
There is a decent selection of Honorable Mentions in the list this week. Aces has been hard at World of Warcraft again. He’s even tossed a bit of some sales pitches our way trying to recruit more for his noble cause of freeing Azeroth from the many denizens that try to destroy it from time to time. As much as I love WoW, I have to admit, I’m not really in a WoW mood as of late. (This asides from the fact that I haven’t even tried to load any launchers outside of Steam on Arch Linux yet.)
Here is to hoping for a calmer week/weekend to come! Hopefully full of gaming with Qvaid, and the gang over the weekend!
Game long, my friends. Game hard.

Highlights

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Qvaid and I certainly had a wonderful set of adventures this week in Cat Quest III. So much so that after calling it a night on Wednesday, we went looking for other games created by The Gentlebros for a bit.
While we did find a few more in their list, unfortunately for us, they were not the co-op gaming experience we’ve come to know and love with Cat Quest II and Cat Quest III.
The Gentlebros produce some amazing games in our opinion at least! They have a great sense of humor and do some fantastic work. The co-op experience with Cat Quest II and Cat Quest III have been a real pleasure for Qvaid and myself.
Alas, we as we finished up the gaming session on Thursday, we are fairly close to wrapping up our adventures in Cat Quest III.
If everything goes well, or as expected, I imagine we will close out the adventures sometime next week. In truth, we probably could have already, but we are enjoying the game so much, we’ve been trying for another 100% completion!
This effort has come with a bit of a grind, so we might still get to stretch out just a bit more adventure before we finally close the curtains on what has been another amazing set of adventures!

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Error, Hobbit
Comments: Monday and Tuesday, Error and I woke up early so we could get some time in on Schedule I before my work day started.
Error’s schedule grants him a few days off after each work cycle, some of them fall on week days and he has every other weekend off.
Fairly productive sessions although at some point we decided we really should have allowed him to start the game.
We looked into just copying my save file (or folders as it were) to his box and allowing him to take over, but further research into situation revealed it wasn’t really a viable solution.
The safe file is attached to the host and doing so can break in game mechanics at least at this time.
Error played a bit on Wednesday morning on the new game he started. He is making some fantastic progress in catching up to our other save. Looks like he’ll be running the show all together soon enough. In fairness, he tried to wake me up, but apparently I was out cold until my usual wake up time!?

Days played: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Error, Falken, Iron, Kilen, Hobbit
Comments: Error and I got off to a bit of a rocky start on Saturday evening when we joined: Falken, Iron, and Kilen in Return to Moria.
As I mentioned previously, Error and I had some extra chores to tackle on Saturday, and due to some shenanigans with a vendor it took far longer than we originally anticipated.
I can’t help but feel that it caused a bit of interruption for the majority of the group, but we managed it the best we could.
Otherwise, it was another set of truly epic adventures! All five of us roaming the depths of Moria in search of ancient dwarven artifcats, recipes, and resources!
Battling hordes of orcs, spiders, trolls, and various other denizens! So much fun, and such an incredible time!
In truth, Error and I didn’t really play Moria much on Sunday, but all-in-all our group managed to wrangle up some Tier 5 weapon and Tier 4 armor recipes.
I believe the majority (if not all) of the group has already worked on equipping the vast majority of the new weaponry and armor already.
As for myself, I still need the T4 chest piece to complete my set. At the time, we didn’t have enough salt for the fine leathers I needed to finish crafting it all.
I’m looking forward to what may be waiting for us next, although I suspect Falken, Iron, and Kilen will likely be playing some through out the week!
