Nikoderiko: The Magical World is the title Qvaid and I chose next for our gaming sessions on Monday – Thursday evenings. Having recently completed our River Tails run, Nikoderiko was something we picked up in the recent Steam Spring Sale 2025.
While, I can’t say the name is really appealing to me, Qvaid and I were certainly looking for something we could play together earlier this month during the Steam Spring Sale. At one point we came across this little gem of a game, and it looked like it might be right up our alley!
I installed it on Wednesday evening after we watched the credits roll for River Tails: Stronger Together, and we got a decent start with something around 3.6 hours into a fun filled adventure! The game reminds us of a bit of Crash Bandicoot, Mario Brothers, and perhaps a splash of some Donkey Kong.
Thus far it has been a rather pleasurable experience for us, albeit, the camera situation can be a bit cumbersome at times. We are adapting though, and that isn’t really a complaint per se, more so it has just been some time since we’ve played a title where the camera worked like that with co op game play.
In any case, we are looking forward to whatever adventures Nikoderiko might have in store for us!
