River Tails: Stronger Together (Complete)

News

Qvaid and I completed our run of River Tails: Stronger Together on Wednesday evening. Fairly early on in the evening. In truth we figured we were getting close to the end based on the way the story was progressing.

With something around 15.1 hours in total based on Steams hours played, our adventures in River Tails had come to an end.

In our opinions, River Tails is a pretty decent value even at full price. The game is fairly well put together, has decent graphics, some good humor, great co op game play, and can be a ton of fun with a friend / gaming partner. If both of you are patient at least. (That is pretty much the case for all co op games though).

In most cases, Qvaid and I tend to put in a bit of extra time gathering achievements, exploring as much as possible, and we generally are not in any rush. I say that because, I imagine if you tried to get all of the rainbow birds, and work towards the decent amount of achievements, you could easily get quite a bit more time out of River Tails.

Qvaid and I felt like the game was a good challenge, albeit, at times a bit much. We decided fairly early on to just settle for a completion of the game instead of an attempt at a 100% or near 100% play through. I just wanted to get the point across that it could certainly be more than the 15.1 hours we got from it, depending on how fast you and your gaming friend moves, skill, etc… For us there was quite a bit of the practice makes perfect to complete some of the stages.

Ultimately, Qvaid and I both felt it was a great game and a great price. I did pick it up while it was on Steam Seasonal sale, but it wasn’t priced in a manner that would have stopped me from picking it up at full price either.

I’ll leave on a warning note of, if you decide to play it, beware the camera angles. There were some complaints of that in the reviews. Qvaid and I did experience a few situations where it could be a touch frustrating, but nothing for us that made the game unplayable at least.
