It’s here! It is finally here! The Steam Summer Sale 2024! The Steam Summer Sale of 2024 launched at 10 AM PST. After I had a quick bite to eat, I sat down and did a little bit of scrolling through the Steam store. I can’t speak for everyone’s experience, but the process was a bit grueling for me. I have a great internet connection, but it was certainly showing some pain in terms of performance. I imagine the service is getting hammered at the start. In truth, it might always be like that. This is one of the first Seasonal Sales I can recall that I attempted any browsing at launch. In any case, I did manage to snag Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean and Dysmantle (+ all DLC content) for my wife and I to play through later. Those were a few I had in my wish list per a request from her after we took a look over some other games we could play together. We also have a little bit of a backlog we can roll through after we complete Children of Morta. I suspect we will do a bit more browsing later on, but I had to get back to work, and the performance of the shopping experience at this time was just a good bit of motivation to put it aside for a bit longer. I can’t lie in that I love the seasonal sales. It’s a great time to pick up some games for a really amazing price! I try to stock up on a few titles for my wife and I to play, along with maybe a title here and there to hit later with our gaming group. I’m not entirely sure the gaming group as a whole will nab anything for ‘group’ play per se. We do have quite a list of games we work through already (given several are quite old, but we enjoy them). But you never know what other title might peak the interest of us later on. Happy Gaming All (And um, game shopping for those that partake)! 🙂
