The Final Shape expansion (dlc) for Destiny 2 dropped on June 4th. I’m a bit late to getting this news on the table, although, I did know about it prior. I had plans to post about it on the day of, but got side tracked and since Bungie’s Discord posts will not come through to the channels I follow on our server, I had no valid reminder. My understanding is, Liquidd already has the expansion and is diving into the new content with a fury. We have had a few conversations about it, which was one of the things that reminded me I had not posted about it yet.
The patch for The Final Shape has of course already dropped on the 4th of June as well. You can take a peek at the official patch message on Bungie’s website, here. My understanding from posts, and one of those conversations with Liquidd, is that the initial launch was a bit rocky. There seemed to be some login issues and crashes on the day of, which hopefully will be cleared up by the weekend. I can’t speak for the rest of our gaming group, but I know Liquidd has plans to grind some of the new content from the Expansion. As of right now, most of us are caught up (at least to some extent) on the previous content, but none of us, save for Liquidd has the latest expansion, The Final Shape, just yet.

I’m always happy to see new content out for games, especially games I enjoy. The excitement Liquidd was showing during our conversations about the new content was certainly inspiring. 🙂
