Darksiders Genesis

News

To my surprise and joy, my wife and I started a playthrough of Darksiders Genesis after completing Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy on Tuesday evening. While we were watching the credits roll for Trine 5, we started discussing our next possible gaming adventure. We walked through a few games I have in my Steam. Per requests from my wife, I’d go to several games store pages, and let her watch the videos, images, etc… for a few games before ultimately she agreed to give Darksiders Genesis a shot. I absolutely love the Darksiders series! I completed the original Darksiders, played through a decent portion of Darksiders II (At least I think it was a decent amount), and I own Darksiders III, and obviously Darksiders Genesis. Much like quite a few games in my list, I had always had plans to play through the entire series, but the majority of them are single player games, I just haven’t found the time. Perhaps one day, I mean I really have enjoyed all I’ve played of them so far. Certainly made me a fan of this series, and in truth that series lead me to follow quite a few of THQ Nordic’s games. In any case, we jumped into a brand new play through of DG, and thus far she seems to be enjoying it! She was skeptical at first, no doubt. Still haven’t found out exactly what might have been the deterrent for her so far. Her initial comment was just, she didn’t think she would like it. A few minutes into the gameplay she said she was certainly digging it. Ultimately, we’ll just see how it plays out. If at some point, she decides it isn’t for her, we’ll move on to the next adventure, but until that time, I’m hopeful to finally get to complete DG! I had a previous save I started with Kilen awhile back, but it never made it through to completion. It’s been so long ago at this point, I can’t even remember what the reason was we stopped playing. I have hopes that this might just be the time I get to see the end, and mark another set of the Darksiders series as complete! Generally my wife either likes a game or she does not, so I feel pretty good about the possibility of it at this point! That said, I’m just happy to she enjoys gaming, and it’s one of both our favorite hobbies!
