On a truthful note, I did play Summoners War on Monday and Tuesday of the 27th, and 28th. After some consideration, however, I decided to take a break from SW, which you can read about, here if you are interested. For now, it is just a break; I’ll just have to see if the break becomes a more permanent hiatus, or just something as simple as that. Mostly it stems from the fact that I don’t have anyone to talk to about the game, and the community I’m apart of at least just is not very social. This leaves most of my gameplay of SW to just routine farming, management, and whatever project I can muster here and there to keep my interest. The genre of games SW falls into also takes a considerable amount of time to maintain, and I’d just like to see what I can do with that time on the other end of the spectrum. I’ll admit, that it also comes from the standpoint that I recently got our gaming group interested in No Man’s Sky, and I love that game so much, I’d like to take the opportunity to play it without the distractions of running something on my tablet in front of my keyboard.

Days played: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: In somewhat of a rare occurrence, my wife and I managed to get quite a bit more time in on Trine 5 than we are normally able too. We had quite a few nights in this Weekly Gameplay Recount! On Monday evening, I started noticing issues with the Xbox Controller I use, but we were able to push forward. I started methods to effectively trial and error test what might be going on. Things like swapping USB ports with my wife, and ending with a cable swap on the controllers to see if it might be the controller or if it was a cable. We had already ruled out the USB port by the end of the night, but wasn’t able to duplicate the issue before we called it on Monday night. On Tuesday evening, we swapped controller cables with each other again to continue the trial and error testing, and this time the issues happened on my wife’s controller. On the plus side, this let us know the controllers were good. We took a break and headed out to a local store to pick up some usb cables to replace the bad cable and have a spare. We continued with the Trine 5 adventures once we got home, and had no further issues for the rest of the days listed. 🙂

Days played: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Error, Kilen, Eldon, Hobbit
Comments: I woke up a bit early on Monday morning, and decided to use that extra time to hop into NMS for some exploration and progress on the Anomaly quests I left off on prior. I got a little bit of time in before the work day started. It was but a small taste, but still some great fun, none-the-less! I can’t even express the excitement and joy it has brought me to be back in a game I love so much! Error seems to be evolving into a space junkyard man, while he scours planets looking for ships to get running and scrap at the local space stations. Kilen has managed to find a hauler he liked, and is basically working through a full repair of it. Eldon has been mentoring all of us on the basics and more advanced lessons in NMS, and I was effectively all over the place, moving from scanning creatures, plants, and minerals on planets, to working on progressing the main story line quests, and semi-frequent visits to the Anomaly. I’ve also been excited to have my brother back along in the gaming group as well (Eldon). He tends to research things to an extensive level, and he’s certainly been extremely helpful to ALL of us on this miraculous journey of space exploration! Liquidd messaged me a bit later in the afternoon to see about jumping into Destiny 2, I told him we were all a bit invested in some NMS at that time, but he was certainly welcome to join us in NMS and/or Discord should he feel up to it.

Days played: Wednesday
Players: Family Night
Comments: Generally speaking, when we play this game we tend to roll through several games of it, but that night it was probably the longest single game we’ve had to date. My wife ended up beating the rest of us down, and took the win!
