I’ve decided to try something new concerning my Hobbit Plays posts. When my schedule allows, I pretty much play games every day, so I thought I’d include some of the gameplay I have with my wife in the Hobbit Plays ‘Weekly’ Gameplay Recount. The weekend gameplay was another that didn’t have an incredible amount of variety, but it did have a tremendous amount of fun!

Days played: All week
Players: Hobbit
Comments: As I’ve stated numerous times, I play Summoners War: Sky Arena pretty much on a daily basis. With some rare exceptions in mind, SW is an idler game after all, so it’s not uncommon for me to have it running in the background of various activities I do on a daily basis. Sometimes, I have it up in Steam on my PC, and if I’m gaming on my PC, I tend to run it on an older tablet I have around for specifically that purpose. Still one of my favorite games to date!
I pretty much was playing SW at various points through out Thursday – Sunday. The 10th Anniversary of SW has been going on for some time now and the events are pretty stellar! I’m trying not to miss anything! 🙂 (Not that it would matter really, still play ere’ day!)

Days played: Monday, Tuesday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: Monday nights my wife and I game together, and we had a blast running through a series of games that have certainly earned a place in our hearts of late. We spend Monday evening working through Trine 3! The Trine series really is just a fantastic set of games. We highly recommend them. Combat, puzzles, co-op options, and a beautiful world, especially considering the age of some of the games in this set.
Tuesday evening after everything settled down, my wife and I were back into some more Trine 3. We managed to complete the game on our gaming session that night, which I posed about, here if you’d like to read about that.

Days played: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Qvaid, Hobbit
Comments: What? You thought just because we completed the game we were playing that, we ended the night there (Tuesday)!? Oh, no, we loaded up Trine 4 The Nightmare Prince that night and started off on the next adventures in the Trine series. In some aspects we were both sad that Trine 4 went back to the 2.5D architecture from the 3D that was in Trine 3. On some other, we were kind of glad to have more control of the views and camera angles that got a bit wonky in Trine 3! We finished up the night a bit later than we intended on Tuesday with our dive into Trine 4!
On Wednesday evening, after the family night had come to a close, my wife and I decided to hop back on Trine 4. It was another night we stayed up a quite a bit later than we intended, but you’ll never hear me say, it was not worth gaming! 🙂
My wife and I don’t usually get a lot of game sessions on the weekend, but there were a few days over the weekend that the gang called it early for various reasons, and we managed to get some decent sessions of Trine 4 in, during those nights!

Days played: Wednesday
Players: Family Night
Comments: Several of us sat down at the table for a few games of Uno Mercy for Family night.

Days played: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Players: Error, Kilen, Liquidd, Hobbit
Comments: We got in some great Destiny 2 sessions over the course of the weekend. Liquidd, Error, Kilen, and myself (Hobbit), played together as scheduling allowed. Liquidd did have to bounce some here and there, and probably didn’t have as much time logged as the rest of us, but his assistance with game mechanics and strats, were epic as we were struggling quite a bit with all there is to learn in D2. On a somewhat somber note, we found that Rank 7 progression is locked behind, not 1, not 2, but at least 3!? different purchases in game. I’m holding out hope that Liquidd’s statement that they bundle the expansions and such during a new expansion release. Otherwise the investment required to progress is probably going to be far more than this Hobbit is willing to don out. I understand games got to make money, and I’m all about supporting games I play where I can, but when you have a treasure trove of content for purchase and no way for ‘new’ players to catch up feasibly, well you are missing out on new players. Here’s to hoping Liquidd is right! 🙂
