Hobbit Plays News

Not quite as much time, not quite as many people, and not quite as much variety. Most would think that might mean the weekend was a bust! Fortunately, it was not. I still had a great time gaming this weekend, even though it was a bit of a strange one in comparison to the more recent weekends. There was still enough participation and variety to save what was left, and fun was still there to be had. It was mostly just Error (my son), Kilen, and myself this weekend. We are not sure where Bubbles and Iron wandered off too, but I suspect if they could have been there, they would have.

Days played: All week

Players: Hobbit

Comments: Just walking through the week, doing the daily quests, event dailies, and farming shenanigans that is Summoners War.

Days played: All week end

Players: Error, Kilen, Hobbit

Comments: HLL really has our attention quite a bit as of late. The majority of our gaming group (at least those still actively gaming at this time), love this game! It is challenging, and if I’m being honest, I suck at it for the most part. Although I’m starting to see some improvements here and there, and that is enough encouragement to keep my coming back for more. There wasn’t time in the schedule for any early morning gaming on Thursday, but we did manage to get some decent matches of HLL in that evening after work.

Friday was another day with no early morning gaming, and we picked back up on HLL for some evening gaming after the workday had come to a close. My son ended up having to call it a bit early for a Friday, and Kilen and I continued into a few more matches (these games can be long, btw), until he decided to turn in for the night.

On Saturday after the BG3 session, Kilen and I were not quite ready to turn in for the evening. Initially, we were just chatting back and forth in Discord, while I walked through content in Summoners War: Sky Arena, and he did the same in Raid Shadow Legends. Given the fact that both games are kind of Idle in nature, we decided after a spell to hop into some matches in HLL, where we ended up staying up quite a bit later than I think we had initially intended. Even still, it was an incredible amount of fun!

My son and I both knew our game time was a bit limited on Sunday, and so we decided to just jump back into the action packed WWII based HLL matches. Kilen joined us a bit after (late night on Saturday as you recall), and we just hit matches of this masterpiece until it was time for my son and I to call it.

Days played: Saturday

Players: Error, Kilen, Hobbit

Comments: In a bit of a change of pace, Error, Kilen, and myself (Hobbit), started a new campaign of BG3 earlier in the day on Saturday. This time around, we all tried to pick classes we haven’t played before, and branch out a bit to see how it was from different playstyles. I enjoyed the gaming session quite a bit myself, but I’m always a sucker for a good rpg game. It was another shorter night for my son, however, and given we were wanting to play it together, we called the campaign there for the night.

Days played: Wednesday

Players: Family Time

Comments: On Sunday evening, we finished out the day with some family time, and a few games of Uno: No Mercy, after dinner to round out the weekend
