Yet another weekend gaming session that was packed with some variety! Everyone wasn’t able to participate on every day, but we were joined by: Error, Kilen, Iron, Bubbles, Eldon, and myself (Hobbit). There was a variety of people as well you might say over the course of the weekend. Schedules didn’t align for all of us, so the majority of it was just our usual 3, but we’re always happy to have the rest of the gang to jump in as their schedule allows. Several of the remainder of the group has all but disappeared as of late, and we’re hopeful they’ll make rounds back again as soon as something opens up (or maybe the variety of games we are playing aligns better with their preference). *Looking at you Falken!? jkil!? SoSirius!?* 🙂

Days played: All week
Players: Hobbit
Comments: Just more of the daily quests, event dailies and typical Summoners War shenanigans on and off pretty much all week.

Comments: My son and I had a morning gaming session of BG3 before the work day started on Thursday! We have been progressing that campaign rather well, all things considered. Although I suspect that will likely change paths a bit given recent events (More on that too come). Even still, it has certainly been a nice change of pace, and a ton of fun. I love D&D, and I’m here to tell you that BG3 is the absolute closest thing to D&D in a video game (in my opinion at least) to date.
Another early morning BG3 session before work on Friday. In this particular campaign my son went with a half-orc fighter (although he did pick a different name this time), and I went with a high elf, Wizard named Mortanis. To be fair I tend to have a set name for certain classes of characters from previous D&D sessions. It’s fun to allow them the ability to live on via other methods! (Stop judging! 🙂 ) The morning sessions are fairly short, as we call it with plenty of time to get ready for work and/or try to prevent interruptions to the game session for early work calls. My son and I did hit up BG3 after the work day ended and scheduling allowed. We were waiting on some of the gang to log in, and it is certainly a great way to pass time.
Saturday morning, my son and I picked back up in some BG3 on the previously mentioned campaign and progressed a decent amount while we waited for the rest of the vampires to arise (or workaholics) to get ready for some gaming a bit later in the morning.
(Sunday) And now to the changes mentioned above. As it turns out, the murder hobo session we started so long ago, was actually started on a friends PC as host. He didn’t seem to have it in him to continue the campaign, but my son and I had to have some closure. We discussed it with our gaming buddy, and he offered up the save file so that we might continue on those shenanigans once again. We walked through the process of getting said save, and have since been able to continue with those adventures again! I suspect that means the previous campaign will be put on hiatus for now at the very least. I can’t lie that it was certainly fun to play my cleric again. I got rather lucky with synergies and gear, which makes his ability to heal a rather great aspect.

Comments: Thursday evening, we enlisted for some war in Hell Let Loose! Iron joined us for some of that WWII action. My son had to bow out around the usual time to prep for the work day on Friday, and I followed suit not too long after that. I held out as long as I could. I want to say I was able to complete that match, but in truth that escapes me at this point. Sleep deprivation is real my friends. It is real!
We started the gaming sessions with HLL Friday evening once several more of us were on. HLL can certainly be a love/hate relationship in some cases. While the unique game mechanics and play style is certainly nice, it can also host a slew of frustrating events for the player as well. Even still, we all manage to have a great time with HLL, and it’s definitely peaked the interest of a vast majority of the group to at least a large extent, which is kind of rare for our group these days.
(Saturday) Yes, I know there is a pattern. Look, we are gaming and having fun alright!? In all seriousness, we were back at it again in HLL for a good portion of the day. Some of the matches were certainly a slaughter and at some point when we deemed the pros didn’t out weight the cons we decided we’d had enough for the evening of HLL.
(Sunday) After clearing up the situation with BG3, 3 of us moved back to some matches in HLL for a large portion of the day. Grinding out those ranks and roles! It was certainly fun, even given the sometimes rather bleak outcomes, and we’ve all seen improvements on our gameplay which is also a huge plus! That pretty much rounds out the weekend gameplay recount! A bit late perhaps, but yesterday was a touch more busy than a typical Monday. Happy gaming all!

Comments: As the night came to a close for several of the gang, a few of us decided to head back into the Zombie Apocalypse for a bit to round out the night / earlier Saturday morning hours. Mostly Kilen and I just hopped on and started a massive organization project. We got a room ready, started building crates, and moving the huge mess of scavenged gear to said crates. As things go in PZ, we likely did some reading, cleaning, etc… before turning in for the night on a fantastic evening of gaming!
(Saturday) We fired up the PZ game we’ve been running after the forementioned HLL matches, and I can’t help but feel sorry for some of those zombies! I’d swear some of our group was taking out their frustrations on those undead that happened to pass by. LOL, I mean they probably deserve it, right!? We finished up Friday / early Sunday morning hours with PZ, which as always was a great time. We have done some rather wreckless things, like firing guns in the smaller cities, but thus far, we’ve managed to keep each other breathing!
